Can Santa Claus deliver safely gifts during the Covid-19 pandemic?
This week’s must read
Our youngest readers must anxiously expect news about Santa Claus and Christmas. Will they see the precious gifts at the bottom of their Christmans tree or in their stockings? Can Santa be sick?
This Week’s Must Read is an insight piece from Jim Fulcher about the strategies countries around the world have implemented to allow Santa Claus to do his job.
Thought Leadership
Santa Claus is coming to town. And he’s not bringing COVID-19. At least, that’s the word from Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert.
Whatever you call him, Santa Claus has an incredible travel job to take on every Christmas Eve. Not only does the man of the hour have to wrangle flying reindeer and deliver gifts around the entire world, he also has to do it all in one night.
While Ottawa Public Health and the City of Ottawa are asking residents to avoid travel over the holiday season, Mayor Jim Watson and Medical Officer of Health Dr. Vera Etches have granted a travel exemption to Santa Claus to allow him to deliver gifts to households.
‘Tis the season to keep an eye on Santa Claus as he cruises across the sky. The Google Santa Tracker is back to help us all get delivery estimates on those Christmas gifts and chimney visits.
